In 2021, the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested her following the seizure of 480 grams of ganja from her clothing store in Thiruvananthapuram.. She wrote a letter to the Chief Minister of Kerala and the Director General of Police, seeking justice. The CM ordered a Crime Branch inquiry into the matter and later it was proven that she was innocent.

In 2023, she made a statement that she would try taking ‘M’ (MDMA) if she wished to, during an interaction with the media. This statement became viral and she faced severe bullying online. She later clarified that she was joking and did not intend to promote drug abuse.
